Supplies needed for using stencil design

 

Here's everything you need to duplicate the ideas in our "Stencil Outside the Lines" feature (pages 19 to 32). All stencils are exclusive Better Homes and Garden[R] designs (not available in stores) and were produced for us by Designer Stencils.

To match your own color scheme, choose the Stencils-To-Go Pack. It contains one each of the five stencils we used (Fork and Spoon, Vase and Flower, Free-Form Flower, Scroll/ Dot, and Daisy). The price of the package is $24.95, which includes shipping, handling, and applicable sales tax. Sorry, we are unable to offer the stencils individually.

To duplicate the looks you see in the magazine, choose one of the complete kits. These kits include stencils and brushes from Designer Stencils, plus paints and textile medium from Plaid Enterprises.

The Dig-In Kit (kitchen cabinets) includes the Fork and Spoon stencils, a 1/2-inch stencil brush, a 3/8-inch stencil brush, 2 ounces of cardinal red acrylic paint, 2 ounces of medium-gray acrylic paint, and 4 ounces of textile medium (needed if you duplicate the design on fabric).

The Light-Fare Kit (dining room) includes one Vase and Flower stencil, one Free-Form Flower stencil, a 1/2-inch stencil brush, a 3/8-inch stencil brush, 4 ounces of sage green acrylic paint, and 4 ounces of textile medium (needed if you duplicate the designs on fabric).

The Flip-Flop Kit (living room and drapery) includes one Scroll/Dot stencil, a 1/2-inch stencil brush, a 3/8-inch stencil brush, 4 ounces of sunflower yellow acrylic paint, and 4 ounces of textile medium (needed for duplicating the design on fabric).

The Get-a-Head Kit (headboard) includes one Daisy stencil, a 1/2-inch stencil brush, a 3/8-inch stencil brush, 2 ounces of French blue acrylic paint, 2 ounces of wicker white acrylic paint, and 4 ounces of textile medium (needed for duplicating the design on fabric).

A single kit costs $39.95; additional kits to the same address cost $34.00 each. Prices include shipping, handling, and applicable sales tax.
